It's important to point out that you don't need to back up the OS drive of a SwiftStack Node. This is because the SwiftStack Controller keeps backups of your nodes’ configuration files. If a Node’s operating system drive fails, you can rebuild it and then push the configuration to the rebuilt node. However if you still want to keep your own backups of your SwiftStack Nodes' configuration, you will need to back up both /etc/swift/ and /opt/ss/.
